Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the viral video and found it to be fake; the scenes are not real.
Three of the Video’s Four Scenes Are AI-Generated
Although the clip went viral months after the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, most of its content is not authentic.
Misbar’s investigative team reviewed the footage, traced the watermark, and identified the original publisher.
The publisher posted the video on Instagram two days ago under the caption, “After months, several videos have been released showing the moment Israeli missiles struck military bases of the Ayatollahs' regime.”
Misbar’s team also reviewed the account's content and found it to be dedicated to sharing AI-generated content targeting Iran’s Islamic regime. The bio reads, “Islamists and Khomeinists' Nightmare.”
Fars News Agency, a media outlet affiliated with the Islamic regime, also debunked the circulating video, saying, “Monarchist pages, by exploiting a documentary video published on national media and using artificial intelligence techniques, have produced and disseminated this fake video.”
Misbar’s team found only the third scene of the video to be real and aired recently on Iranian TV.
Iran-Israel 12-Day War
The war erupted on June 13 after Israel launched a surprise strike on military and nuclear sites inside Iran. The attack killed senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, and several politicians, while also causing civilian casualties and damaging parts of Iran’s air-defense network.
Iran retaliated by firing more than 550 ballistic missiles and more than 1,000 suicide drones, hitting military, energy, and government facilities. The United States, as an ally of Israel, intercepted many of the incoming Iranian projectiles and conducted airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites. Iran responded by launching missiles at a U.S. base in Qatar.
On June 24, both Israel and Iran accepted a ceasefire after heavy pressure from Washington.
Iran Released New Scenes Showing Israeli Attack on Iranian Sites
Five months after the 12-day conflict ended, Iran’s state network SNN aired news scenes, claiming they showed Israeli strikes on several sites across the country. The channel asserted that Iranian air defense forces “knew they were a target—but did not abandon their posts.”
According to Ynet, SNN also broadcast an interview with the deputy commander of Iran’s air defense operations. He said that “some of our systems were hit and people were killed,” but insisted that the country’s integrated air defense network “never ceased operating, not even for a moment during the 12 days.”
He added that on the first night of the Israeli offensive, all sector commanders and air defense officers were already at their stations, and that Iran’s systems began tracking aerial activity in the west hours before the strikes.
