Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s team at Al Araby TV investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading; the video is outdated and does not show thousands of Israeli settlers leaving the occupied territories by sea during the war with Iran.
Video Shows Crowds Boarding a Boat in the Philippines
Misbar’s team found that the video was shared by a Facebook account named "Tams Ja" on January 14, 2026, about a month and a half before the outbreak of the ongoing war; it included a caption in Tagalog, one of the Philippines’ main languages, reading, "First to sit on the chair."
The account owner also replied in the comments to a user asking about the trip’s destination, saying, "From Basakaw Port to San Pascual, my friend," indicating the video was filmed in the Philippines.
While the original context could not be independently verified, its mid-January 2026 posting date clearly rules out any connection to the ongoing war.
Ongoing War on Iran
The claim circulated as U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran entered their 22nd day, amid a continued escalation in reciprocal attacks.
Israeli media reported that buildings in the Rishon LeZion area, on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, were damaged by an Iranian cluster missile. Israeli police said they were responding to rocket fragments that landed in various central regions, causing damage to vehicles and buildings.
Iran has stepped up its missile barrages over the past two days, triggering air-raid sirens more than 40 times across Israel in response to strikes from Lebanon and Iran, including roughly 20 Iranian missile launches.
