Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s team at Al Araby TV investigated the circulating claim and found it to be false; the video was generated using artificial intelligence and does not show ballistic missiles recently developed or tested by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
AI-Generated Video Misrepresents Iran’s IRGC Missile Activity
Misbar’s team analyzed the video using the AI detection tool Hive Moderation and found that it contained synthetic or digitally altered elements, with a likelihood of 75.7%.
Additionally, key visual indicators suggest the footage was AI-generated, including distorted flags that appear merged with walls or unnaturally blended into missile structures. The missiles also show unstable geometry, with shifting length, thickness and wing shapes as the camera moves. In addition, they lack consistent design features such as pointed noses and rear fins, reflecting visual inconsistencies commonly associated with AI-generated content.
U.S.-Iran Tensions Persist Over Nuclear Talks and Strait of Hormuz
The video is circulating as U.S.-Iran tensions continue over the trajectory of negotiations and unresolved issues, despite remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump suggesting a deal may be close.
Iran has rejected several U.S. demands, including the transfer of enriched uranium outside its territory, saying the issue was never formally raised in talks. It also moved to close the Strait of Hormuz again after previously announcing it would remain open to civilian shipping.
Trump renewed his warnings to Iran on Friday, saying the ceasefire could be lifted if a long-term agreement is not reached by Wednesday. He said pressure on Iranian ports would continue, while also referring to “good news” without offering details and indicating that talks could resume early next week.
