The Arabic version of Goal.com shared the video on its Facebook account on July 2, stating that it shows FIFA President Gianni Infantino in the stadium box during the Morocco vs. Netherlands match in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, which Morocco won on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.
The post included a question-style caption asking: “Why did Gianni Infantino appear upset at the moment Morocco equalized against the Netherlands?”
The same clip was also circulated by sports and news websites and social media accounts, which analyzed the FIFA president’s reaction.
However, Misbar’s team found no reliable evidence confirming Infantino’s presence at the Portugal vs. Croatia match, and match coverage did not indicate that he attended the game or was present in the stadium box or stands.
