Satellite Images Reveal Destruction at Iran’s Alloy Steel Production Complex
Satellite images from Sentinel-2 satellites reveal extensive damage at the Haft Tir complex, Iran’s first alloy steel production facility, located south of Tehran at coordinates 32.345653, 51.622724.

The images show the complex has been hit in a series of attacks since at least March 9, 2026. Analysis by Misbar’s team on Al-Araby TV of an image taken that day indicates that at least 17 buildings in the southern section of the site were struck.
Meanwhile, smoke is visible rising from another part of the industrial complex, which contains at least 15 additional buildings. A later image shows this section has been nearly completely destroyed.
By March 29, satellite photos show damage to four main buildings and several adjoining structures in the northern part of the complex, home to the Isfahan Steel Plant. Iranian sources report the plant has an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons.
Another image from March 26 shows thick smoke rising from one of the plant’s buildings alongside damage to other structures, suggesting the facility was targeted on March 25 and 26 amid a wave of intensive airstrikes on Isfahan.
The Haft Tir complex has been under economic sanctions since 2006. The United Nations Security Council listed it in Annex A of Resolution 1737 over Iran’s nuclear program. In 2008, the United States added the complex to its sanctions list for links to Iran’s nuclear project.
Haft Tir, Iran’s first alloy steel industrial complex, was established in the mid‑1990s and remains a key facility operated by the Defense Industries Organization under the Iranian Ministry of Defense.
