Satellite Images Show Tank Destroyed at Haifa Oil Refinery
Satellite images from Sentinel‑2 show the aftermath of an attack on the Haifa oil refinery in northern Israel on March 30, 2026.
Subsequent images captured on April 4, 2026, reveal that at least one tank was destroyed at the refinery, which is part of the Bazan Petrochemical Complex in the Haifa Bay area.

Iran Strikes Haifa Refinery Twice During War
The Haifa oil refinery has been struck by Iran at least twice since the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran on February 28, 2026. The most recent attack occurred on March 30, when field footage showed fires erupting in one of the refinery’s fuel tanks. The facility had previously been targeted on March 19.
Israeli media, citing refinery officials, reported that the damaged fuel tank had a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters.
Misbar’s team conducted a geolocation analysis of the footage showing the fire and confirmed it corresponds to the same tank that appears nearly completely destroyed in satellite images.

The Bazan Petrochemical Complex is a critical component of Israel’s industrial and economic infrastructure. It houses the country’s largest oil refinery, the Haifa refinery, with a refining capacity of nearly 10 million tons per year—about 65% of Israel’s total crude oil refining capacity.
