Hijab ِAdevertisment on a Bus in Canada
Emerging story
Social media users and pages posted an image claiming that a bus in Canada is advertising for Hijab. Hijab is a headscarf women in Islam wear to cover their hair. The bus advertisement was sponsored by a group called the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), and featured a photo of a woman in a headscarf captioned: “Ahead covering (honoured) by Mary, Mother of Jesus, and worn by Muslim women.”
The photo has been circulating online since 2018. Users shared the image describing Canada as a country that respects Muslims.

The picture was circulating in Arabic, English, and French.
