Commotion: China’s Infiltration of U.S. Core Circle

Di Dongsheng is a professor at Renmin University. Earlier this month, he claimed that America’s “inner circle” is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). More specifically, they hold sway over some Wall Street investors, who have some influence over U.S. lawmakers. To some people’s delight, he also asserted that Trump’s trade war diminished China’s influence, but Biden’s administration will be easier to manipulate. According to the professor, the CCP would most likely use allegations against Hunter Biden to do so.

Di Dongsheng’s speech has been discussed by several news outlets, most notable Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. The CCP had since censored videos of the speech, but there are several mirrors on various video hosting websites.

The claim took off on social media in December 2020.
