Egypt is Not Removing Quran From Its School Curriculum

News circulating on social media and found here and here as news publications, claims that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is removing Quran and Hadith (Prophet Mohammed’s teachings) from the school curriculum.

The article explains that this is being done under the pretext of terrorism and to counter extremist ideas.

Egyptian users are angry and are accusing El-Sisi of hating Muslims, while others point to the influence of Israel and some drawing comparisons between Egypt and Turkey in Quran teachings.
