The Pope Not Planning New World Order To Enslave Vaccinated People

In March, a range of conspiracy theory websites ran articles that claimed that Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, was calling for the creation of the New World Order, a conspiracy theory that believes groups of elites are building an authoritarian world government. These reports claimed that the Pope would utilize the pandemic to enact this sinister plan.

Further conspiracy claims appeared in April when a letter appeared on the Vatican’s website that was addressed to the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. Some of the websites reported that this letter held evidence that Pope Francis would replace the financial system with a “green financial agenda” and enslave people who have the coronavirus vaccine.

These claims then circulated on social media, where they gained hundreds of interactions.
