In response to a tweet by Ron Kind regarding the American Rescue Plan, Republican Candidate Derrick Van Orden Tweeted “[Ron Kind] Has spent more $ in 100+ days than was spent fighting WWII, setting the country on the road to record inflation that will destroy our senior's retirements. Now he thinks he is a hero for spending their great grandchildren's $ to cover up for his incompetence. No.” Orden’s claim was repeated across social media.
