These Videos Do Not Show People Converting to Islam During the 2022 World Cup

A video is being circulated on social media purporting to show four people converting to Islam in front of Islamic preacher Zakir Naik during the World Cup Qatar 2022.

A Twitter user wrote, "Four people announce their conversion to Islam during Dr. Zakir Naik's first lecture in #Qatar."

Another video purporting to show people converting to Islam in Qatar prior to the start of the World Cup went viral.

“So far more than 1000 people have converted to Islam, even though the event has not even started yet. Today is the first match,” another user wrote.
