Viral Image Alleging to Show Babi Yar Massacre Is Fake

Social media users recently circulated an image claiming to show a scene from the 1941 Babi Yar massacre, in which Nazis and their collaborators murdered thousands of Jews during the Holocaust in Kyiv, Ukraine.

An X user shared the image alongside a caption commemorating the event, stating, “The Babi Yar massacre, which took place over two days in September 1941, remains one of the most horrific examples of mass murder during the Holocaust.”
