Old Footage Shared Amid Rising Pakistan-Afghanistan Tensions

Social media users are circulating a 24-second video showing a man in uniform forcefully beating another man with what looks like a hockey stick, while several others look on. 

The users claim the footage shows an Afghan being punished in Pakistan instead of receiving help. According to these posts, Afghans are allegedly facing forced evictions, harassment, and restricted rights under the Pakistani “military” regime.

“These are not ‘isolated incidents’ they are deliberate acts of cruelty protected by the state,” a X user wrote.

“In this video, an elderly Afghan man, defenseless and terrified, is beaten without hesitation by officers who know they will face zero consequences,” the user added.
