Turkish Parliament Brawl Video Falsely Linked to Ocalan Visit

A video has been circulating on social media, allegedly showing a massive brawl in the Turkish Parliament, with MPs physically fighting.

Users claimed that lawmakers from the Justice and Development Party (AKP), led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, attacked their colleagues from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), led by Devlet Bahceli,upon his request to visit Abdullah Ocalan, the jailed founder and leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Other users offered a different narrative for the video, claiming that the brawl broke out between members of the Turkish Parliament amid criticism of President Erdogan following the deaths of Turkish soldiers in Idlib, Syria, after Syrian airstrikes in which at least 33 Turkish troops were killed.
