Hamas Has Not Ended Gaza Ceasefire, Contrary to Israeli Reports

Israeli media claimed Hamas declared that the ceasefire in Gaza is over, following the latest Israeli strikes on the Strip.

Outlets, including The Jerusalem Post and Israel.com, both attributed the claim to a report by the Saudi outlet Al Arabiya, which claimed that their sources revealed Hamas informed U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and President Biden’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, that “the agreement is over and it is ready to fight.”

While most outlets attributed it to Al Arabiya, The Times of Israel cited an unnamed Arab diplomat who told the Israeli outlet that Hamas sent a message to the U.S. it is prepared to end the ceasefire over Israeli violations.

The claim also gained wide traction on social media platforms.
