Video Does Not Show an Attack by Baloch Fighters on Pakistani Army Base

Social media users circulated on Sunday a 12-second video showing flames and thick black smoke rising into the sky. They claimed the footage captured a major attack carried out by Baloch fighters on a Pakistan Army base in Chagai, Balochistan, with heavy gunfire and explosions reportedly ongoing.

Users also alleged that Pakistan’s military intelligence headquarters in Turbat, Kech, had been targeted, leaving four Pakistani officers dead.

“BREAKING: Baloch fighters have launched a major fidayeen assault on a Pakistan Army base in Chaghai, Balochistan with heavy gunfire and explosions ongoing,” a user wrote on X.
