Thomas Jefferson Statue Was Removed from NYC City Hall in 2021

Social media users have circulated a video showing men removing a statue, claiming it depicts the Thomas Jefferson statue being taken down from New York City Hall after 187 years, following a committee’s argument that the statue could be interpreted as antisemitic. 

Some users linked the alleged removal to New York City having its first Muslim mayor, suggesting that Muslims are now cooperating with Jews.

“Thomas Jefferson statue removed from New York City Hall after 187 years. The committee said the statue could be interpreted as antisemitic. Muslims becomes mayor in NYC and this immediately happens. Looks like they're working together now,” a Facebook user wrote.
