Photo of Syrian Child Under Rubble Falsely Linked to Gaza

The U.S. political commentator Tucker Carlson recently attacked Congressman Randy Fine for his response to what Carlson described as a “picture of a child of a baby in the rubble in Gaza” on social media. “How do you sleep at night?” the post asked, to which the congressman replied, “Quite well, actually! Thanks for the pic!”

The photo, along with Fine’s comment and Carlson’s remarks, circulated widely on social media, with many users repeating the claim that the photo shows a scene from Israel’s war in Gaza.
