Video Showing Immigrant Teenager Forced Into Deportation From Japan Is Outdated

Social media users have circulated a 43-second video interview featuring an Indian teenager who was “born and raised in Japan,” with claims that he and his family were forced by immigration authorities to return to India after his Sikh parents fled the country to escape religious persecution.

The video has been shared alongside claims that deportations in Japan are underway, suggesting the country is seeking to “keep Japan for its own people.”

“JAPAN DEPORTATIONS UNDERWAY. They are not messing around. Child of Migrants - ‘I was born and raised in Japan’ Japan - ‘You're Indian, time to go home,’” a user wrote.

“Japan is keeping its country for its own people. Is it time we did the same?” the user added.
