Viral Video of U.K. Police Tasering a Man Is Outdated

Social media users have widely circulated a 1:06-minute video showing a man who allegedly attempted to steal a backpack and, with blood visible on his hand, attacked a group of pedestrians in the middle of a road before police arrived and tased him. 

The man also allegedly damaged a police van, punching off a wing mirror and throwing it toward the group.

Online users claim the footage shows a Muslim migrant who became aggressive after failing to steal a bag and was subsequently tasered by UK police.

“That tase was extremely satisfying,” a user wrote in a publication on X that was reposted 10,000 times and liked by 76,000 users. 

“Muslim migrant is pissed after trying to steal a bag! Gets Tased! Very Satisfying!” another user wrote.
