The post, first shared by the account @klara_sjo, alleges that the virus spread after an individual consumed what was described as “bird semen” and was captioned “Here we go again,” in reference to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The claim accumulated nearly one million views and was widely amplified by other users. Some commenters speculated about the possibility of another lockdown, while others used inflammatory language, including calls to “fence China.”
