Old Footage Showing Israeli Bombing of Residential Buildings Resurfaces

Social media users circulated footage showing simultaneous explosions of several buildings, claiming it depicts Israeli forces carrying out demolition operations in a residential area of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, on the first day of 2026.

“The erasure of Gaza’s existence continues on the first day of the new year despite the so-called ceasefire, as Israeli forces carry out demolition operations targeting residential buildings in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip,” a user wrote on X.

“This is Gaza on New Year’s day and the world is silent,” another user wrote.
